Even JISC was using a kind of Post It for learning design a decade ago. This class ironically was taught online. We worked in small groups collaboratively to create designs and peer review each other’s work. It was still too theoretical for me at the time – as if I were looking in at teaching through a steamed up window.
I’ve moved on since then: a little teaching goes a long way with a lot of theory – a lot of teaching with a little theory someone will tell me goes a lot further.
Today I use the Learning Designer from the UCL Knowledge Lab. It isn’t as easy as doing a tax return, but almost as straight forward as doing an online shop.
It’ll get there – of if they don’t someone will.
